Pacific Poker

888.com Poker Room

Pacific Poker Pacific Poker is 888.com's poker room (their online casino is called Casino-on-Net and it's very popular) operated by 888 Holdings. Pacific Poker's start wasn't good at all - they came out with a horrible software for starters, and even the traffic from their online casino wasn't enough to make it popular. Things have changed since.

Their recent software upgrades made this poker room actually quite enjoyable to play at. I wanted to find the best online poker sites for these reviews and given that I remembered what Pacific Poker was like a couple of years ago, I was truly surprised to see a well performing poker software. If things continue to go into this direction, I'm predicting a good future for this poker room. Quality of players is pretty low, which is understandable since gamblers win at their online casino and come to play poker without a slightest idea of how to make profitable plays. You'll be able to make tons of money with proper game selection.

Pacific Poker Review

Anyone who used to play at Pacific Poker a couple of years wouldn't probably see this coming from any online poker player, but... the software looks good. It's clean, good graphics and functions work well together. I'm impressed, and if they can handle proper marketing, I think they've got great potential for future, hence why I decided to write a review of 888 Poker in the first place. Today's Pacific Poker is a whole new experience.

PacificPoker.com Review Their lobby (the picture next to this text) is functional, easier to navigate, there's a tab for each game and scrolling through available games is easy. A *must* feature, search filter, is there too and that's always a great thing. You won't have troubles with lobby navigation.

I was glad to see Pacific Poker has added "resizable windows" feature to its software. This is a great feature and makes online poker much easier for multi-tabling players. The default table size is (in my opinion) slightly too big, so it's definitely good to be able to control the size of it. You'll be able to switch between standard card deck and 4-color card deck and that kind of regular stuff. Check/Fold (some think this is a great feature, some think it's horrible) & other buttons of same kind can be easily found, too. Check / Fold / Call / Raise buttons are well placed.

Games offered at PacificPoker.com are Texas Holdem (Limit, No Limit, Pot Limit), Omaha (Pot Limit, Limit), Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo. There's a 30 second timer for players (you'll have 30 seconds to make your decision), and if that's too long for some people, you can always try out their 'turbo games' where there's less time to think. If making fast decisions isn't something you're used to, I don't recommend these games, rather stick with normal poker games.

There's a 'player notes' feature which is always important. An interesting feature, though, is that you can press commands/actions with keyboard. "B" goes for a bet, "R" for a raise and so on. It's a cool idea, but I wouldn't hype it as a huge success. It's still quite easy to play with a normal mouse (actually, using mouse is a lot easier for me).

You don't have to worry about contacting customer support at Pacific Poker.com. You've got options for e-mail support, phone support and live chat. The latter two are great features - can't think of many things more frustrating than not getting an answer from online poker room's support when somethng urgent needs to happen. This won't be a problem at PacificPoker.com. Apparently this support has been working well for a while.

There's a minimum deposit limit of $30. 888.com has been in the gambling industry for years now and the company is well respected. Deposit options are following: VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, Citadel, FirePay, Wire Transfer, InstaDebit, ClickandBuy, ACTeCASH, UKash, bank transfer, PaysafeCard. PacificPoker.com does not accept players from U.S.
