PokerStars.com

World's Largest Poker Site

PokerStars.com "World's Largest Online Poker Site" is a 100% true statement. Really, others don't come even close. Although few online poker sites drive massive traffic, PokerStars.com's traffic is super-massive. They hold the record for most cash game players & most players online simultaneously. PokerStars broke this record in December 2007.

We could go on & on about how this poker site destroys their competition, but I just can't see the point in that. Let's just say they're clearly the busiest online poker site in the world.

We're going to get to the review, but quickly before the PokerStars review, let me remind you about this PokerStars Marketing Code page.

PokerStars Review

I've never been a big fan of PokerStars.com software. They've got about 100,000 players online simultaneously to tell you otherwise, though. There's no doubt this software wouldn't be top quality and it drives more traffic than any other online poker site.

PokerStars Review People at PokerStars knew what they were doing early on by bringing out two user-friendly features that others didn't (of course other online poker sites came up with the same features a while later). Those features are called 'player notes' and 'player stats'. Keeping track of your opponents, and keeping track of yourself obviously offered a great help to serious players.

When you open up the PokerStars software (left pic), you'll see a pop-up of their latest promotions & tournaments. Unlike most ads, this doesn't bother me at all and I doubt it would bother you either. It's a great way to let players know about their latest promotions (it's an interesting read). You won't see any ads at tables. There'll be some texts posted in the chat to let players know about tournaments starting in a few minutes, but that's it.

So let's take a look around the PokerStars lobby. First, you'll see categories for Hold'em, Omaha, Stud, Other Games, Tourney, Sit & Go and Events. Fair enough. We'll choose "Hold'em" and there are sub-categories Fixed Limit, No Limit/Pot Limit and Play Money. Now, we choose "Fixed Limit" and they give us new sub-categories; All, High, Medium, Low and Micro. This certainly makes navigating in the lobby easy. You can also use their "Ring Game Filter" to cut out table types that you don't like. If you want to play heads-up only, then you can choose to not to show 6 max. and full ring tables. You can also find free poker games at PokerStars.com.

PokerStars.com's tournament traffic is huge, so obviously they should have a good system for them. When you click on "Tourney", you'll see sub-categories for All, VIP, Regular, Satellite, Special, Freeroll and Private. On top of that, there's a tourney filter that you can use to choose between game variations. This system is very popular and should work for everyone.

When you sit-in to a table, you can choose where you want your seat to be placed on your computer screen. Then you'll have those regular options like "Auto-post blinds" and "Sit out next hand". You can find Fold, Call and Raise buttons easily and if you want or don't want to muck your hand, just go to settings and switch it to the way you want it. You can choose an avatar, table theme and deck colour. PokerStars.com software runs smoothly - I've never heard about the server crashing.

By the way, I'd like to mention that PokerStars.com customer support is top class, fast & reliable - I'd say they've got best support in poker industry.

Deposit options at PokerStars.com include NETeller, Paysafecard, VISA/Mastercard, Instachecks, Diners Club International, Western Union, Money Order/Cashier's Check, Online Bank Transfer, Local Bank Transfer/Wire Transfer.
